I went to one of the regular five-day retreats and then stayed on for three extra days on an individual basis. That was just right for me. The whole experience was just right, with its combination of meditation, nature walks, talk therapy, and other lovely activities. I learned ways to use it therapeutically, for personal growth, and had some breakthroughs during the retreat. I am very glad I found Le Sentier Tranquille. Oh, and the rooms are sweet and the food delicious.

The whole six days brought experiences that I never thought would be so powerful and truly life changing. Simon is a true mentor and has the ability to make one think in a way that can seriously adjust one’s life in the most positive way. Since my time at Le Sentier Tranquille, my whole life has taken on a more optimistic meaning. It truly is to be experienced first hand, to be believed. And.. the food was so incredibly good, three full and satisfying meals a day... this was phenomenal!!

The retreat was absolutely enjoyable. The experience I gained from Simon's teaching was very refreshing. I learnt to recapture things around me without placing labels on them. I could appreciate so many things which I used to take for granted. The delicious meals were definitely another highlight: always fresh and tasty. The Centre itself was such a lovely and peaceful place, it helped me forget the stress of my routines - they were still there, but I did not feel stressed!

I liked the way Simon spoke and explained the meditation in simple steps - his method of giving headings to each stage or journey of the formal meditation he proposes. It put mindfulness meditation more user friendly for me to practice on a daily basis. And now I am feeling the benefits of a daily practice, as uncomplicated easy method to use and look forward to doing it too. Also I am not so reluctant to do an unguided meditation alone.
