The Sacred Triduum marks the holiest days of the Church year. You are invited to participate with our monastic community in an extended time of prayerful silence and liturgical celebration of the passion, death and resurrection of Christ. The retreat begins at 4:30 on Thursday,ending with a festive noon meal on Easter Sunday. The Catholic liturgies of Holy Week are celebrated, plus monastic Morning & Evening prayer. A printed guide on the meaning & symbolism of each liturgy is provided.

We recycle paper, plastic, glass, and tin and compost. We have a large garden and orchard and serve many garden grown fruits and vegetables and home baked goodies.

Training/Lineage: S. Jeanne Ranek is the Director of the Benedictine Peace Center and a member of Spiritual Directors International. She earned a PhD from the University of Notre Dame and a DMin from the Graduate Theological Foundation with studies at Oxford University. S. Doris Oberembt comes with years of experience as an elementary and college instructor and faith formation ministry. She earned an MA from the University of South Dakota and a Certificate in Corporate Ministry from St. Louis University. S. Mary Jo Polak's training includes certificates in spiritual direction from Shalem Institute and in monastic studies from St. John's, Collegeville, and Master's degrees in both theological studies(St. Meinrad, IN) and guidance and counseling (UMo-KC).
