Travel Info: Lawudo Retreat Center IS VERY REMOTE
Lawudo (altitude 4,000 m.-13,000 ft.) is situated in the highest area of Solu Khumbu, the northeastern region of Nepal bordering Upper Tsang in Southern Tibet.
There are two ways of getting to Lawudo. The quickest and relatively easier way is to fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (US $242 return) and then walk for 2 days from Lukla (2,800 m.-9,100 ft.) to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m-11,180 ft.). Lawudo is a further 4/5 hours walk up a very steep path from Namche Bazaar.
