This is a simple retreat house- the accomondations and the meeting rooms are simple. I have been to about seven or eight retreat at this site. Each time I attend, I am met with the same warm, welcome and I am reminded that the focus of the retreat experience is on the retreat- and that the surroundings are meant only to help facilitate that process. It is not a four-star hotel or a resort. It is a retreat house. I love that it is in the middle of Montebello. It reminds me that you do not need to escape the world to retreat from it. My prayer is deepened by being in a prayer space in the heart of the city of Los Angeles.
Food is decent, accomodations clean and simple, enough small group spaces as well.
