SAN DAMIANO RETREAT is located 30 miles east of San Francisco in Danville, California, on 55 acres of wooded hillsides. Overlooking the San Ramon Valley, our Center offers spectacular views of Mt. Diablo. It is named after
a tiny Italian church near Assisi, where, almost 800 years ago, St. Francis received his call from God to renew the church. Since 1961 followers of St. Francis have been offering retreats here at San Damiano. The peace and beauty of our gardens and spacious grounds offer an environment where individuals, groups and organizations may reflect on new insights . . . new choices . . . new decisions.

San Damiano offers contemporary programmed retreats,
private retreats (with spiritual direction available upon
request), as well as opportunities for religious,  on-profit or business groups to utilize the facilities for retreats, conferences or workshops.
