Groundswell wants to share our beautiful land and camp with groups that want an inspirational experience in nature. We have nine cabins, a dining hall, bathhouse, event barn, and more – plenty to host groups of up to one hundred – nestled in one of the most stunning areas in Northern California. Our camp runs alongside a year round creek for almost a half mile, providing beautiful daytime strolls in pristine waters. A private, quarter acre pond is available to groups for swimming, and there are over 140 acres of redwood forest to explore. For those looking for an affordable escape into the woods, our retreat center campus is an ideal option. One of our central values is ecological sustainability. The retreat center is partnered to a residential ecovillage with a working farm. Through this connection we are able to greatly reduce our retreat center's ecological impact. We offer tours of our farms and lands to groups that are visiting, so that they can share in this connection.*** We are currently working to install a commercial hot tub that will be 8' x 14'. Construction expected to be completed July 2016. This is just one of the many improvements we are making to our facilities.***

Groundswell works with groups to create pricing structures that they can afford. Our average cost for renting the facility (not including food) is $30/person/night and the average cost for three hot meals is about $35/person/night.We do offer additional programs, such as tours of the farms and special culinary experiences (aka pig roasts). Please inquire for pricing on these.
Groundswell also offers its own programs in addition to renting its facilities to groups. For these we have a No One Turned Away For Lack Of Funds policy that includes work trades and scholarships. Please check out our website for more information about these programs.

Our retreat center is partnered with a year-round residential ecovillage with a working farm. We bring food in from that farm to our retreats as often as possible (right now we are only 2 yrs old and still growing those gardens). We work to reduce resource usage at every turn, ensure all of our new building is natural and passive solar designed, utilize resources sustainably from our land, and are working towards solar power.

Special Features: We are working hard to update our facilities from the former kids' camp that we took over less than two years ago. A new hot tub, renovated meeting lodges, news landscaping, lighting, and lots more have been a part of the project. Expect our facility to be a continual evolution over the next five years as we realize the potential of these truly beautiful lands and camp. Our camp remains rustic and eclectic - it probably always will. But we promise it will always be getting more comfortable.
